This dissertation investigates charge carrier kinetics and spin dynamics in transition metal-doped hybrid perovskites. Extended spin lifetimes are attributed to motional narrowing from increased momentum scattering and ultrafast light-induced spin alignment of dopants is observed. Novel chiral hybrid Co halides exhibiting chiro-optical and (canted) antiferromagnetic properties are synthesized. The origin of strong circularly polarized photoluminescence in chiral perovskites is investigated and linked to their crystal structure.
